NAGASE & LOGIVAN collaboration project receives funding from Japanese government to advance Vietnam’s logistics infrastructure and network

When nations and corporations are racing towards Net Zero targets by 2050, LOGIVAN is quietly building its CO2 tracking tool to measure emissions from transportation and logistics activities (SCOPE3). 25% of the global energy-related emissions come from the logistics sector and are expected to rise by 60% if no mitigation measures are introduced over the coming years. Transport emissions will have to be cut by 90% by 2050 to achieve carbon neutrality.

Understanding that this is a complex and daunting challenge, the Japanese Government and NAGASE Corporation 🇯🇵 are investing in LOGIVAN to advance its tech-enabled logistics network, further utilising empty returning trucks and cutting down on CO2 emissions. Currently, for medium and long haul routes, LOGIVAN is using return trucks for approximately 73% of all shipments of companies such as Wilmar (Calofic), Calrsberg, TTC Sugar,.. 🚚✌🏼

Our ambition is to also utilise empty-returning trucks for short-haul trips of less than 300Km, minimising cost as well as CO2 emissions for manufacturing and trading firms in the coming years. Go LOGIVAN! 💪🏼 🇻🇳
